STAYING DEEPLY CONNECTED THROUGH IT ALL:
RELATIONSHIP ENHANCEMENT TALKS FOR THE
MATURE COUPLE
3 independent, self-contained talks
- the world is off-balance
- markets are crashing, companies are downsizing and no job is secure
- mortgages have to be paid and two wage earners are required to pay it and all the other bills
- kids are growing up faster all the time and swallowing whole “reality” TV shows as if they
are reality
- increasing attention has to be paid to aging parents who need to be cared for
- on earth does a couple find the time and do the things to keep their love for each other present, fresh and deep?
- sometimes looked at your spouse of 10, 15, 20 or more years and wondered if there is something more that could be possible between the two of you?
- quietly longed for a greater closeness or better and deeper communication but not known how to have it?
- yearned to get beyond life’s pressures and crises and any past wounds and hurts that have accumulated in the relationship to return to a greater love for each other?
Joel Brass, M.A.Sc., R.C.C., a marriage and relationship therapist with 21 years in the business and
former host of “Love Matters” on CFUN 1410 AM (Vancouver) and 97 - KISS-FM will deliver a free
series of talks aimed at people who have been in a long term relationship. He will discuss the ways that
partners over the years, often unknowingly, shut down aspects of their minds, hearts, bodies or souls in
their relationship. The challenge of taking responsibility for these impediments to intimacy and what can
be done to heal and release them will be discussed at length.
Joel is a well-loved speaker whose practical ideas, wealth of experience, warmth and great sense of humor
have made his talks, seminars and broadcasts fascinating, valuable and enjoyable to audiences of all ages
and backgrounds.
